What we do

We Nurture Talent

Peace Africa brings children from under-privileged and special backgrounds together and develops their talents so that they can help themselves. We nurture these children's young talents by training them in the rhythms and artistry of East African Music and Dance.

We give them Western music lessons so that they can perform, read and write Western music. In this way, we hope that our children will able to support themselves in the future by using the performance skills they have attained while at Peace Africa.

Peace Africa also takes care of each child's education, food, shelter, clothing, medical care and other basic necessities of life. Since 2004, our founding partner, the East African Educational Initiative (EAEI), has underwritten our efforts by finding sponsors for children's scholastic needs.

Why we do

What we do

We come from humble backgrounds. As children, our lives changed forever when sponsoring organisations saw our talents and supported us through school and university. Peace Africa is our way of bringing hope to the children in our communities and contribute to Peace building and development.

Each and every one of the children in the Peace Africa Children's Ensemble comes from a homelife torn apart by HIV/Aids, war, poverty or parental death.

And yet, despite their tragic backgrounds, the talents of these gifted children combine to create joyful and uplifting rhythms of hope.
